Server, Full-Time (Parental Leave Contract)

About the role

Fairmont Waterfront, an Accor hotel on Vancouver's waterfront, is hiring a full-time Server for a parental leave contract from October 2026 to July 2027. You will act as an ambassador for the hotel's dining experience, giving guests warm, personal attention and showing knowledge of the food and beverage offerings. The position reports to the General Manager of the ARC Restaurant & Bar.

Key responsibilities

• Offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Help guests choose menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Know all beverage lists and promotions, and all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
• Deliver food and beverage in a timely and accurate manner
• Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
• Follow safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Previous food and beverage service experience required
• Previous point of sale system experience preferred
• Canadian work authorization
• Ability to stand and walk constantly, lift and carry up to 20 lbs, kneel and climb stairs occasionally
