Senior Tax Manager – Private Tax (Winnipeg)

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join its Private Tax practice in Winnipeg. You will work with high‑net‑worth individuals and private organisations, providing domestic and cross‑border tax planning, estate and wealth‑transfer advice, and philanthropic strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Recommend and implement tax strategies aligned with client objectives.
• Correspond with legal counsel and tax authorities on client matters.
• Assist with corporate reorganisations and research compliance and planning issues.
• Review personal, corporate and trust tax returns and ensure accurate filing.
• Identify planning opportunities and prepare correspondence on tax implications.
• Research client issues using online resources and liaise with Canada Revenue Agency and provincial ministries.
• Prepare tax election forms and manage personal and trust tax compliance seasons.
• Collaborate with audit managers, staff and clients to answer tax queries.

Required profile

• Proven experience in private tax, estate planning and cross‑border tax matters.
