Senior System Administrator – Application Support (Remote, Canada)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior System Administrator to provide Tier 2/3 support for a mission‑critical enterprise application and the Microsoft infrastructure that powers it. This remote position serves users across Canada and includes occasional travel to Nunavut and client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 application support, troubleshoot infrastructure, authentication and integration issues.
• Coordinate with vendors, stakeholders and technical teams to resolve incidents and participate in service restoration and root‑cause analysis.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, SCCM, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and VPN technologies.
• Manage Windows 10/11 environments, endpoint deployment, imaging, patching and device lifecycle.
• Support Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online, MFA and identity management solutions.
• Act as escalation point, mentor service‑desk and field teams, and document procedures.
• Maintain accurate hardware/software inventory and manage asset workflows in ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise IT environments with strong Tier 2/3 support background.
• Proven experience supporting business‑critical line‑of‑business applications.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and incident/request management.
