Senior Software Quality Engineer

About the role

The Senior Software Quality Engineer leads the design, execution, and oversight of complex test strategies for the LCAR domain, ensuring delivery of high‑quality, reliable software. The role provides deep technical expertise, drives automation maturity, mentors junior analysts, and partners closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies.
• Create and maintain test environments, test data, and configuration management.
• Manage defect lifecycle, perform root‑cause analysis, and coordinate resolution with development teams.
• Develop and execute automated tests for large data sets and Master Data Management (MDM) systems.
• Work with Microsoft SQL, Snowflake, and PostgreSQL databases, including creation of stored procedures, views, and tables.
• Utilize Unix command line for log access and file manipulation.
• Leverage AWS tools such as S3 and Secrets Manager, and monitor application logs to assess system behavior.
• Operate workflow orchestration tools including AutoSys, Apache Airflow, and Stonebranch UAC.
• Produce detailed status reports and obtain appropriate sign‑offs.
