About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and implementation of robust IBM ODM rule solutions that drive transaction‑level decisions, alerts, and notifications. The role focuses on modernising fraud rule platforms, integrating AI‑assisted development tools, and ensuring high‑throughput, low‑latency performance across a global payments ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Modernise and migrate large‑scale fraud rule engines and platforms.
• Design, develop, and operate scalable global systems with 5 9’s availability.
• Author and optimise fraud rules using IBM ODM and AI‑assisted tools.
• Align architectural designs with business needs, security, and compliance requirements.
• Drive best‑practice implementation and automation enhancements.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Hands‑on software development experience with DevOps and IT operations best practices.
• Proven experience with fraud rule engines and large‑scale migrations.
• Familiarity with high‑throughput, low‑latency platform design.
