Senior Software Engineer, Agents

About the role

Replicant is building AI‑powered agents that handle millions of calls for Fortune 500 customers. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Delivery team you will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of these agents for specific clients, translating business needs into reliable, production‑grade AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own AI agents for assigned customers across discovery, design, build, evaluation, launch and live operation.
• Collaborate with customers to map workflows, define agent scope, and capture explicit business rules.
• Design prompts, instructions and conversation flows, iterating against real transcripts and evaluations.
• Integrate agents with customer systems (CRMs, ticketing, internal services) by shaping API calls, handling authentication, errors and edge cases.
• Create comprehensive test sets covering happy paths, edge cases and hallucination risks, and implement guardrails for production.
• Monitor live conversations, debug issues from logs and transcripts, and ship fixes under pressure.
• Provide feedback to product teams to accelerate future agent builds.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑facing abilities: can earn trust quickly, translate ambiguous business problems into concrete plans and communicate with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Integration fluency: experienced in connecting agents to APIs, designing tool schemas, handling auth, errors and edge cases, and validating undocumented customer APIs.
• Prompt and instruction craft: skilled at shaping LLM behaviour through clear, structured prompts and evaluating conversation quality.

Required skills

• General‑purpose coding experience (TypeScript, Python, SQL).
• Familiarity with LLM evaluation tooling and observability platforms.
