Senior Satellite Systems Engineer (Payload)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Satellite Systems Engineer (Payload) to lead the integration and coordination of payload interfaces within satellite platforms. The role involves design, testing, and in‑orbit operations, working closely with multiple engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage interfaces between the payload and satellite platform at system level during design, AI&T, and in‑orbit phases.
• Coordinate daily with Payload, C&DH/OBDH, Satellite Operations, Flight Software, and FDIR teams.
• Produce and maintain all Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for mechanical and electrical interfaces.

Required profile

• 7+ years of systems engineering experience on telecom satellites, preferably with digital payloads.
• Hands‑on experience in at least one sub‑system: Communication Payload, Flight Software, C&DH, FDIR, or Satellite Operations.
• Proven ability to coordinate payload‑related satellite tests during AI&T.
• Experience across program phases B, C, D, and E.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Montreal for 50% or more of the time.
