Senior Project Manager – Payments Implementation

About the role

Insight Global is looking for a technical Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation of a vendor payments engine and orchestration system for a banking client in Canada. The role focuses on delivering payment processing solutions that meet real‑time rail, SWIFT and ACSS regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and integration of the vendor payments engine/orchestration system.
• Plan and ensure timelines meet business and regulatory deadlines for Real Time Rail.
• Manage configuration of the vendor solution, develop internal components, and integrate with upstream/downstream systems.
• Oversee end‑to‑end testing, including component, integration and system testing.
• Coordinate implementation activities while adhering to internal policies and mandates.
• Work closely with vendors and third‑party providers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve technical challenges.
• Lead a cross‑functional internal team of business analysts, solution architects, developers, QA and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, Fraud and other groups to ensure solutions meet Canadian payment rail requirements.
• Drive delivery using Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid methodologies, tracking milestones and quality outcomes.
• Identify and resolve technical and operational issues, provide regular progress updates and manage dependencies.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive technical project management experience.
• 5+ years as a Senior Project Manager on large‑scale, enterprise initiatives in banking or financial services.
• Proven experience implementing payments‑related projects, especially payments engine or orchestration solutions.
• Strong background working with vendors and third‑party providers on technical implementations.
• Experience overseeing cross‑functional internal teams on technical projects.
