Lead DevOps Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (DevOps) to drive the design, build, and operation of highly available, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure for its Identity Solutions platform. You will lead a geographically diverse team, mentor junior engineers, and ensure the reliability and security of critical services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and act as a subject‑matter expert for a distributed engineering team.
• Design, build, scale, and optimize cloud infrastructure across AWS environments.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines using Jenkins, Ansible, Argo CD, Terraform, CloudFormation, and Resource Manager.
• Implement secure, highly available AWS solutions, leveraging core services such as compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Automate deployment processes to enable fast, reliable, and repeatable service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading DevOps or cloud infrastructure initiatives in a large‑scale environment.
• Strong background in designing and operating secure, resilient AWS architectures.
• Hands‑on expertise with IaC tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers across multiple locations.
