Senior Project Manager – ERP & Public Sector Projects

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will lead multiple high‑priority enterprise initiatives, including OneStream, Procurement System Modernization, and Complex Scheduling, for a public‑sector client in Alberta. This contract position is remote‑first, reporting to senior leadership and coordinating cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead concurrent ERP projects from initiation through closure, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop project charters, business cases, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and governance documentation.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, prepare executive briefing notes, steering committee presentations, and status reports.
• Coordinate activities across business units, technical teams, vendors, and senior executives.
• Ensure compliance with Government enterprise architecture, policies, and standards.
• Monitor project performance, implement corrective actions, and facilitate risk identification, escalation, mitigation, and resolution.
• Provide leadership in organizational change management, communications, and client satisfaction.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Project Management Office (PMO).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 years leading complex IT/ERP initiatives with multiple stakeholders and vendors.
• At least 8 years of public‑sector experience at provincial or federal level.
• Proven experience delivering budgeting & forecasting, HRIS, complex scheduling, and supply‑chain management solutions within ERP environments.
• Strong background in project scope definition, scheduling, risk management, and documentation.
