Senior Project Manager (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the discovery phase of a large‑scale modernization initiative for education and health portfolios. The role will act as the primary liaison between business partners, IT teams and senior leadership, ensuring coordinated governance and successful project launch.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate cross‑ministry governance, strategic planning, risk and issue management, and executive reporting.
• Lead the development, tracking and submission of TB/MBC and Strategic Planning Process deliverables.
• Organise and facilitate Executive Steering Committee, Director and Working Group meetings, preparing agendas, minutes and action‑item tracking.
• Maintain alignment among business partners, I&IT teams and senior stakeholders, providing regular status updates, risk assessments and financial reporting.
• Drive change‑management activities to support stakeholder readiness and adoption.
• Oversee procurement activities and prepare polished executive‑ready presentation materials.
• Onboard the project into Planview and ensure compliance with OPS enterprise‑wide Project Portfolio Management best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of proven senior project management experience, preferably in government or large enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, milestones, risks, issues and budgets while delivering high‑quality outcomes.
• Strong experience with change‑management principles and methodology.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills, with a track record of influencing senior leadership.
