Senior Program Assistant – Year 2 Case Based Learning

About the role

The University of British Columbia’s MD Undergraduate Program is seeking a Senior Program Assistant to coordinate the Year 2 Case‑Based Learning (CBL) program across its four provincial sites. The role provides administrative and logistical support to the CBL Team Lead, tutors, and students, ensuring smooth delivery of educational sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule Year 2 CBL activities for all four MDUP sites (Vancouver, Island, Northern, Southern).
• Provide direct support to tutors and students at the Vancouver Fraser Medical Program.
• Prepare, distribute, and track educational materials in line with academic timelines.
• Liaise with faculty, staff, and program coordinators across sites to resolve issues and maintain communication.
• Assist the CBL Team Lead with administrative tasks and reporting.
• Maintain professional standards and clear communication with all stakeholders.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong prioritisation, judgement and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Professionalism and ability to interact with faculty, staff and students.
• Willingness to work on‑site 3‑4 days per week in a hybrid arrangement.
