Senior Mechanical/Piping Design Engineer

About the role

Kinectrics is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead mechanical and piping design activities for utility and energy projects. You will work within the Design Engineering and Sites department, delivering high‑quality engineering solutions that support safe and reliable asset performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review mechanical and piping design calculations, specifications, and drawings.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients, and vendors to ensure design compliance with codes and standards.
• Perform design reviews, constructability assessments, and support construction phases.
• Maintain design documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical/piping design for energy or utility projects.
• Strong knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards.
• Proven ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior engineers.
