Senior Manager, Corporate Communications

About the role

Waterfront Toronto is seeking a senior‑level communications professional to lead internal, digital and external corporate communications. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Strategic Communications & Public Engagement, this newly created position will shape strategy, strengthen brand stewardship and enhance employee engagement across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership for internal communications, employee engagement, digital communications and external corporate communications.
• Develop integrated communications strategies and plans that align messaging, channels, timing and tactics with Waterfront Toronto’s corporate priorities.
• Design and implement an internal communications and employee engagement strategy to improve alignment, confidence and connection.
• Partner with HR, IT, Finance and other internal teams to deliver leadership communications, change‑management support and new internal platforms such as the intranet and newsletter.
• Lead digital communications across owned channels—including the website, intranet and newsletters—driving channel strategy, content leadership and performance measurement.

Required profile

• Senior‑level communications professional with proven leadership experience.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute integrated communications strategies.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams (HR, IT, Finance) to deliver internal communications and engagement initiatives.
• Strong understanding of digital communications, channel strategy and performance analytics.
• Ability to oversee a small team and manage executive‑level communications.
