Senior Manager, Communications & Marketing (CHILD-BRIGHT Network)

About the role

The CHILD-BRIGHT Network is a pan‑Canadian research initiative focused on improving outcomes for children with brain‑based developmental disabilities. The Senior Manager of Communications & Marketing leads the network’s communications strategy, shaping and delivering clear, audience‑centered messages across digital and traditional channels.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and evaluate the network’s communications plan, translating scientific and operational priorities into accessible content.
• Lead multiple communications projects from intake to delivery, defining objectives, audiences, key messages, channels, schedules and performance metrics.
• Oversee digital channels including the website, social media, email newsletters and analytics, driving audience engagement and continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain the CHILD‑BRIGHT brand framework, media releases, briefing materials and responses to media inquiries.
• Collaborate with researchers, families, funders and partner institutions to co‑design communications that reflect lived‑experience perspectives.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in communications, marketing or public affairs, preferably within research or health‑focused organisations.
• Proven ability to manage cross‑institutional teams, external service providers and stakeholder partnerships.
• Strong written communication skills with a focus on plain‑language storytelling and accessibility.
