Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

The Senior Legal Counsel will act as the primary employment‑law advisor for Klick Group across its multiple offices. Reporting to the Legal Craft team, you will partner with People Practices, Finance, Operations and Legal & Contracts to manage employment risk, ensure compliance and support corporate growth.

Key responsibilities

• Advise People Practices and business leaders on employment law matters, including policies, agreements, accommodations, terminations and compliance.
• Develop and maintain employment‑law frameworks, templates and internal guidance to improve consistency and reduce exposure.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to identify employment risk and provide practical, compliant solutions.
• Support general corporate and commercial contracting matters such as MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, licensing agreements and vendor negotiations.
• Manage external counsel on specialized employment issues, overseeing strategy, timelines, costs and outcomes.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of legal experience with a focus on employment and labor law.
• Juris Doctor, LLB or equivalent with active bar admission in at least one Canadian or U.S. jurisdiction.
• Proven experience advising senior stakeholders on employment agreements, terminations, accommodations, policies and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to support multi‑jurisdictional employment matters across Canada and/or the United States.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation experience with commercial agreements such as MSAs, SOWs, NDAs and licensing agreements.
