Senior Guideway Civil Coordinator

About the role

ACCIONA is hiring a Senior Guideway Civil Coordinator for its elevated guideway project in Ontario. The role assists in managing civil engineering and construction activities for roads and landscaping, supporting the Civil Manager so that work follows project schedules, budgets, quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate civil engineering and construction activities and work with Technical, Environmental, Quality and Safety departments
• Help develop and manage project schedules, give status updates to the Civil Manager and align work with project objectives
• Oversee planning, design and construction of roads and landscaping in line with regulations, codes and standards
• Work with design teams to report, analyse and track design changes and issues
• Supervise subcontractors and construction teams, resolve issues and discrepancies, and review and validate subcontractor progress billings
• Prepare regular progress reports on timelines, budget and issues, and facilitate meetings with internal and external parties
• Maintain project documentation such as change orders, progress reports, quality documents and permits

Required profile

• Valid Ontario driving licence (G or G2)
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience as a construction coordinator or similar role; large infrastructure projects preferred
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and, if needed, extended hours including weekends and holidays

Required skills

• Project management software, Microsoft Office Suite and BlueBeam Revu
• AutoCAD is an asset
• Experience with subway projects, dense urban roadworks, City of Toronto/OPSS and Metrolinx standards is an asset

• Annual base salary of $90,000-$120,000 CAD depending on experience and qualifications
