Senior Estimator

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Estimator with a background in civil construction and engineering to deliver accurate, competitive bids for our roadbuilding and heavy‑civil projects. Based in Chilliwack, you will work with a diverse fleet of equipment and a supportive team, contributing to projects that strengthen communities across British Columbia.

Key responsibilities

• Lead quantity takeoffs, pricing and bid preparation for civil infrastructure work.
• Review drawings, specifications and subcontractor/supplier quotes to assemble complete proposals.
• Collaborate with operations to validate production rates, means and methods, and schedules.
• Assist in creating estimates, scopes of work and detailed material take‑offs.
• Support production of high‑level project schedules and bid packages for subcontractors.
• Monitor procurement platforms for tender opportunities and attend site visits as required.

Required profile

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience in civil or heavy‑civil sectors.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of construction work‑site sequences and project management.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving abstract.

• Estimating software such as B2W Estimate (or equivalent).
• Bluebeam.
• Microsoft Office Suite.
• Procurement platforms (BCBid, Bids and Tenders, Bonfire).
