Senior Engineer, Electrical

About the role

Elk Valley Resources is seeking a Senior Engineer, Electrical to lead reliability and continuous‑improvement initiatives for the electrical systems of its mobile mining fleet. Reporting to the Electrical Superintendent, you will provide engineering support for electric shovels, drills, substations, trailing cable systems and pit power distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the reliability of electrical equipment across the fleet.
• Provide engineering design and support for electric shovels, drills, substations and trailing cable systems.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, projects and technical teams to enhance safety and performance.
• Develop and implement long‑term maintenance strategies and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Communicate technical information to stakeholders and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced mining environment.
