Senior Director of Human Resources

About the role

The Senior Director of Human Resources will lead strategic HR initiatives for a fast‑growing organization based in Canada. Reporting to senior leadership, this executive will shape people strategy, drive organizational effectiveness, and ensure operational excellence across regional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with global HR leaders to align strategies, share best practices, and maintain consistency while adapting to local needs.
• Act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, talent development, and change management.
• Oversee regional HR operations, employee relations, and compliance across the Americas.
• Manage and mentor multidisciplinary HR teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Collaborate with Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Compensation, Benefits) to deliver effective people programs.
• Leverage data‑driven insights and workforce analytics to evaluate effectiveness and guide decisions.
• Drive improvements to HR processes, systems, and employee experiences through technology and automation.
• Support performance management, employee engagement, and organizational health initiatives.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience in complex, high‑growth environments.
• Proven ability to balance strategic partnership with operational execution.
• Strong track record of influencing senior stakeholders across regions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
