Senior Director, Development & Alumni Engagement – Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences

About the role

The Senior Director of Development & Alumni Engagement will shape and lead the long‑term fundraising strategy for the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at UBC. Reporting jointly to the Dean and the Executive Director of Development, the role focuses on achieving annual fundraising goals of $5‑8 million.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of the faculty’s development and alumni engagement strategy, targeting $2.5‑8 million in annual donations.
• Develop and manage the FORWARD campaign and other major fundraising initiatives.
• Formulate short‑ and intermediate‑term plans aligned with university‑wide development objectives.
• Drive operational efficiencies, resource development, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Cultivate relationships with academic leaders, alumni, donors, and faculty members.

Required profile

• Proven experience in major‑gift fundraising within a post‑secondary environment.
• Demonstrated success leading teams and building strategic partnerships with academic leadership.
• Strong ability to engage and motivate faculty and alumni communities.
