Senior Design Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead the engineering design effort for the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations segment of the Ontario Line in Toronto. The role will be part of a 50/50 joint venture between FCC Canada and Webuild Civil Works Inc., delivering a progressive design‑build project that includes twin tunnels, two stations and associated facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all engineering activities during the construction phase of the Pape Tunnel and underground stations.
• Support the line‑wide technical manager on commercial, staffing and contractual matters.
• Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive design‑management plans and procedures for construction.
• Ensure strict compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in design management for large‑scale infrastructure or civil‑construction projects.
• Strong understanding of progressive design‑build delivery models.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and interface with owners, contractors and regulatory bodies.
