Senior Buyer

About the role

Kardium is launching its FDA‑approved Globe® Pulsed Field System and needs a Senior Buyer to support the commercial ramp‑up. The role is based in Burnaby, BC, and includes a 12‑18 month training period on a new ERP platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own full‑cycle procurement for direct/indirect materials, services and CapEx.
• Lead complex sourcing to ensure uninterrupted supply and align with production schedules.
• Negotiate high‑value contracts and commercial agreements.
• Collaborate with internal supply‑chain partners on safety stock and inventory targets.
• Mentor procurement team members and share best practices.
• Drive transition to the new ERP system and maintain purchasing master data.
• Secure supplier capacity for manufacturing ramp‑up and manage supplier onboarding, regulatory alignment and part approvals.
• Lead high‑complexity sourcing for electromechanical and PCBA assemblies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in full‑cycle procurement across direct and indirect spend.
• Strong background in contract negotiation and supplier performance management.
• Experience with ERP or purchasing systems and master‑data maintenance.
• Ability to mentor and develop procurement team members.
• Experience sourcing electromechanical and PCB assemblies is a plus.
