Senior Business Analyst – Public Sector Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a public‑sector client on complex business and technology initiatives. The role involves working closely with stakeholders, technical teams and leadership to understand needs, define requirements and ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities across complex projects from discovery through implementation.
• Elicit, analyze, validate and document business requirements with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Facilitate interviews, workshops, requirements sessions and process reviews.
• Analyze current‑state and future‑state processes, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Develop business and functional requirements, user stories, use cases, process flows, acceptance criteria and traceability.
• Support solution design, testing, implementation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Product Owners, Developers, Architects and other delivery stakeholders.
• Prepare presentations, recommendations and status updates for senior leadership.
• Mentor junior and intermediate Business Analysts.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive Business Analysis experience delivering complex business and technology initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and operate in a complex environment.
• Experience in public‑sector or government projects is strongly preferred.
• Understanding of SDLC and delivery methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
