About the role

Canals is looking for a senior backend engineer to help its fast‑growing customer base scale efficiently. You will own complex backend systems while shaping product features that deliver real value to wholesale distributors.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience building scalable, high‑performance backend systems.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, product‑focused environment.
• Comfort taking ownership of deliverables and ensuring high‑quality outcomes.
• Experience guiding and unblocking other engineers through code reviews and architectural feedback.
• Background in high‑growth startups or small teams is a plus.
