Senior Backend Engineer – Developer Infrastructure

About the role

Fullscript is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own and improve the long‑term health of its monorepo and developer infrastructure. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure the platform remains scalable, reliable, and easy to develop on.

Key responsibilities

• Own and improve the technical health of the monorepo, planning solution designs and release strategies.
• Lead foundational upgrades across the stack and raise code quality, maintainability, and engineering standards.
• Address scalability, reliability, performance, and security concerns as the product grows.
• Build and maintain shared developer tooling, CI linting, and quality‑of‑life improvements.
• Maintain shared infrastructure such as feature flags, end‑to‑end tests, and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Support product teams by solving cross‑cutting technical issues and unblocking their work.
• Contribute through implementation, code reviews, mentorship, and documentation.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Ruby or Ruby on Rails.
• Passionate about software craftsmanship and serving other developers.
• Senior‑level expertise with a track record of improving large codebases.
