About the role
The University of British Columbia is seeking a Second Cook to join its campus food service team in Vancouver, BC. This part‑time position may lead to a full‑time role and offers a supportive, inclusive workplace on a university campus.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
- 2 to less than 3 years of cooking experience in a hospitality or institutional kitchen.
- Valid Safe Food Handling and Food Safety certificates.
- Demonstrated client focus, dependability, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organization, reliability, teamwork, and time‑management skills.
- Public transportation is available for commuting to the campus.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
- Willingness to follow safe food handling procedures.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends.
