About the role
Join The Fruit Wagon as a seasonal full‑time labourer on a fruit and vegetable farm in Harrow, Ontario. You will work outdoors in a fast‑paced environment, handling a variety of hands‑on agricultural tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Hoe between rows and train shoots to optimal positions.
- Hand‑harvest vegetables and pick orchard crops.
- Sort freshly harvested produce into marketable and non‑marketable lots.
- Grade fruits and vegetables by size, shape, colour and volume.
- Plant, cultivate, irrigate and weed crops, including training trees for higher quality fruit.
- Handle heavy loads and perform repetitive physical tasks such as standing, bending, crouching and kneeling.
Required profile
- Physically fit with ability to work in a demanding, fast‑paced setting.
- Good colour discrimination to grade produce accurately.
- Availability to start on the date specified in the posting.
- Experience in agricultural work is an asset but not mandatory.
