About the role
The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario is seeking a School‑Based Math Facilitator to support student achievement in priority elementary schools. Working under the Board Math Lead and the Principal of Curriculum and Student Success, you will provide targeted math instruction for Grades 3, 6 and 9 during the 2026‑2027 school term.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver in‑class math facilitation and early‑intervention strategies to students needing additional support.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement high‑impact instructional practices and monitor progress toward improvement targets.
- Assist teachers in building capacity for effective numeracy instruction and use of assessment tools aligned with Growing Success.
- Travel among a family of priority schools in the West region, providing consistent support and professional development.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Board Math Lead or Principal of Curriculum and Student Success.
Required profile
- Valid Ontario College of Teachers certificate with Primary/Junior divisional qualifications.
- Qualifications in Primary/Junior Math and, where applicable, Intermediate Math for secondary support.
- Special education qualifications or experience supporting students with special education programs.
- Deep knowledge of the Ontario math curriculum (2020‑2021) and assessment practices.
- Valid driver’s licence, access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel to rural schools.
Required skills
- Expertise in numeracy instruction, high‑impact teaching practices, and intervention strategies.
- Strong understanding of assessment, evaluation and reporting aligned with provincial directives.
- Leadership experience in planning and delivering job‑embedded professional development.
- Proficiency with assistive technology platforms and board digital licences.
