SAP BTP Consultant – Remote

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Consultant to design, architect and deliver enterprise‑grade solutions on SAP BTP. This remote position involves leading technical delivery, guiding teams through complex integration projects and ensuring high‑quality implementations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as technical architect and lead for SAP BTP‑based extensions, integrations and cloud‑native applications.
• Design and implement side‑by‑side extensions using SAP CAP (Node.js/Java) and CDS models.
• Develop integration flows in SAP Integration Suite (CPI) with standard and custom adapters (SFTP, HTTPS, OData, SOAP, JMS, AMQP, Mail, etc.).
• Define integration patterns, API governance and security using API Management, OAuth2, SAML and IAS/IPS.
• Manage SAP BTP global account, sub‑accounts, environments and enforce governance standards.
• Drive migration initiatives from SAP PI/PO or legacy middleware to SAP BTP.
• Collaborate with functional teams (S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, HCM, FI/CO) to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Mentor junior developers, enforce best practices and ensure delivery quality.
• Participate in architecture reviews, estimations, roadmap planning and stakeholder discussions.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience as an SAP BTP consultant or technical lead.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with SAP Integration Suite (CPI) and SAP CAP development.
• Ability to provide technical leadership, guide multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff.
• Excellent understanding of SAP ecosystem components such as S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, HCM and FI/CO.
