Workday Integration Developer

About the role

The Workday Integration Developer reports to the Chapter Manager, Workday & HR Platforms and is responsible for designing, building, testing, deploying and supporting integrations across Canadian Tire's Workday ecosystem. The role ensures secure, reliable movement of HR, payroll, benefits, time‑and‑absence and other critical data between Workday and enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, test and deploy inbound and outbound Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, RaaS, custom reports and Web Services.
• Provide production support for scheduled and event‑driven integrations, including monitoring, incident triage and root‑cause analysis.
• Create and maintain integration design documents, data‑mapping specifications, runbooks and release notes.
• Support Workday release readiness by assessing release notes, coordinating regression testing and resolving integration defects.
• Participate in change, incident, problem, audit and privacy activities in line with corporate governance.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience developing, testing, deploying and supporting Workday integrations in a production HR environment.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical integration designs, data mappings and test plans.
• Experience troubleshooting integration failures, analyzing logs and implementing sustainable fixes.
• Familiarity with Workday HCM functional areas such as Core HCM, Time Tracking, Benefits, Recruiting or Workforce Management.

• SFTP, PGP encryption, authentication certificates, scheduling and logging.
• Integration security concepts: integration system users, security groups, domain security policies.
