SAP ABAP Lead – 12‑Month Contract (Remote, Canada)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Lead for a 12‑month contract supporting a client in Ottawa. The position is fully remote within Canada, working Eastern Standard Time hours. You will guide multiple SAP development initiatives across S/4HANA, SaaS, and BTP platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and act as the lead resource for SAP development projects.
• Define, review, and approve solution designs and development approaches.
• Perform detailed code reviews, validate technical designs, and ensure quality standards.
• Lead integration efforts using SAP Integration Suite and develop ABAP CDS views, REST services, and embedded analytics.
• Design, develop, and extend SAP Fiori/UI5 applications, including Fiori Elements and freestyle UI5.

Required profile

• 15+ years hands‑on SAP ABAP development (ABAP OO, debugging, HANA performance).
• 3+ years experience as a Development Lead.
• 2+ years with S/4HANA on‑prem or private cloud, including at least one full implementation.
• 5+ years SAP integration experience (SAP Integration Suite).
• 5+ years developing ABAP CDS views and related analytics.
• 4+ years SAP Fiori/UI5 development and extension.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Finance and Controlling.
• Three‑year university degree or college diploma in Computer Information Systems or equivalent.
• At least one valid SAP certification.
