Sandblasting Operator – Night Shift

About the role

Safran Landing Systems is seeking a night‑shift Sandblasting Operator to clean and prepare landing‑gear components at its Mirabel plant. You will work with both robotic and manual sandblasting equipment to ensure parts meet strict quality and surface‑treatment specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Move parts using lifting devices and install them on mounting fixtures according to technical drawings.
• Apply masks or tools to protect areas before sandblasting.
• Operate robotic sandblasting equipment following defined procedures.
• Complete sandblasting with specialized manual tools while respecting process parameters.
• Inspect finished parts for compliance with specifications.
• Document quality‑assurance results and perform daily equipment self‑maintenance.
• Conduct sand granulometry analysis and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High‑school diploma (equivalency certificates not accepted).
• Experience in manual work within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Physical strength to handle tools and work in a full‑body protective suit.

Required skills

• Operation of sandblasting equipment (robotic and manual).
• Basic computer skills for documentation.
• Inspection of parts against technical specifications.
• Granulometry (sand analysis) techniques.

• Hourly wage from $26.91 to $36.59 CAD, up to $40.62 CAD with skill progression.
