Sandblasting Operator - Night Shift

About the role

Join Safran Landing Systems at its Mirabel plant as a Sandblasting Operator on the night shift. You will be responsible for preparing landing‑gear components for machining or plating by removing oxide layers and ensuring optimal surface conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Move parts using lifting devices and install them on mounting fixtures.
• Prepare components by applying masks or tools according to technical drawings.
• Operate robotic sandblasting equipment and manual sandblasting tools following defined procedures.
• Inspect finished parts to verify compliance with specifications.
• Complete required quality‑assurance documentation.
• Perform daily self‑maintenance of sandblasting equipment.
• Conduct sand particle‑size analysis.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives and meet safety, quality, and cost targets.

Required profile

• High school diploma (equivalence not accepted).
• Experience in manual work within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Experience with automated equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Organizational skills, ability to prioritize and work autonomously.
• Capability to work in a full‑body encapsulated suit with helmet and oxygen supply.
• Physical strength to handle tools and equipment.
