Sandblasting Operator - Night Shift

About the role

Safran Landing Systems is seeking a dedicated Sandblasting Operator to join its Mirabel plant on the night shift. You will be responsible for preparing landing‑gear components for machining or plating by removing oxide layers and ensuring optimal surface conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Move parts using lifting devices and secure them on mounting fixtures.
• Install masks or tools according to technical drawings.
• Operate robotic sandblasting equipment following technical procedures.
• Perform manual sandblasting with specialized tools while respecting set parameters.
• Inspect finished parts for compliance with specifications and complete quality‑assurance documentation.
• Conduct daily equipment self‑maintenance and perform granulometry (sand) analyses.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and cost.

Required profile

• High school diploma (equivalence certificates not accepted).
• Experience in manual work within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities.
• Physical strength to handle tools and work in a full‑body suit with an oxygen helmet.

Required skills

• Operation of sandblasting equipment (robotic and manual).
• Granulometry analysis of abrasive media.
• Basic computer skills for documentation.
• Use of personal protective equipment, including full‑body suit with oxygen supply.
