Sales Executive – Group Sales (Hotel)

About the role

The Sales Executive will serve as the on‑property liaison for group sales at our Marriott hotel in Trois‑Rivières. You will manage inquiries, negotiate contracts, and drive revenue by up‑selling and delivering exceptional service throughout the customer journey.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to group and catering inquiries within defined peak‑room parameters.
• Conduct site inspections and act as the primary contact for group events.
• Negotiate contracts, close sales, and achieve assigned group revenue targets.
• Develop and maintain revenue forecasts, budgets, and group‑sales marketing plans.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and promote group‑sales promotions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and supply‑demand dynamics to inform selling strategies.
• Ensure seamless hand‑over of booked business to operations for quality service delivery.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of sales, marketing, guest‑services or front‑desk experience, or a 2‑year degree in Business, Marketing, Hotel Management with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed revenue goals in a hospitality environment.
• Strong understanding of group‑sales processes and market dynamics.
• Preferred experience in large‑group sales.
