Sales Attendant (Auxiliary) – Food Services

About the role

The University of British Columbia Okanagan Campus is seeking an Auxiliary Sales Attendant to support its Food Services operations. This temporary, full‑time position provides coverage during a maternity leave and is expected to run until April 30, 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Serve customers in various food service outlets, including Starbucks and other campus locations.
• Take payments and operate point‑of‑sale systems.
• Prepare food and beverages according to outlet standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment.
• Perform additional duties as required by the Food Services Manager.

Required profile

• Grade 10 or equivalent education.
• Food Safe Level 1 certification.
• At least one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to complete specialized training for specific outlets (e.g., Tim Hortons, Subway, Starbucks).
• Flexibility to work across multiple campus food service locations.
