Retail Store Supervisor

About the role

The Retail Store Supervisor will lead the daily operations of a busy gas‑station retail outlet in Tomahawk, AB. You will oversee staff, manage inventory, and drive sales while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Assign sales workers to duties and ensure proper shift coverage.
• Hire, train, or arrange training for new staff members.
• Authorize payments by cheque and manage cash handling procedures.
• Order merchandise and handle returns as needed.
• Establish work schedules and maintain staffing levels.
• Sell merchandise and promote promotional offers.
• Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising performance, and personnel matters.
• Resolve customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
• Organise and maintain inventory levels.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of all workers on the floor.

Required profile

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• 2 to less than 3 years of experience supervising retail staff.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, under pressure, with a mix of sitting, standing and walking.
• Client‑focused attitude, strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, reliability and a team‑player mindset.
