Retail Sales Associate – Customer Service & Cash Handling

About the role
Join a busy hardware store as a Retail Sales Associate, providing friendly service to customers and handling sales transactions. You will work on the shop floor, assisting shoppers with product information, operating the cash register, and ensuring merchandise is well presented.
Key responsibilities
- Accept cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit payments and operate the cash register.
- Use computerized inventory and re‑ordering systems to keep stock information up‑to‑date.
- Provide product advice, answer customer questions and resolve service issues.
- Assist in merchandising, display setup and preparation of items for purchase or rental.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and fast‑paced work environment, including lifting items up to 23 kg.
Required profile
- No prior experience required – training will be provided.
- Ability to pass a criminal record check and work flexible day/weekend shifts.
- Own transportation or access to public transit; capable of standing for long periods and performing physical tasks such as bending, crouching and lifting.
