Retail & Online Shop Assistant

About the role

We’re looking for a hardworking and friendly individual to join our team in Halifax, NS. This role is a perfect blend of in‑store shop assistant duties and online order fulfilment, helping us create an exceptional shopping experience both in‑store and online.

Key responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service in person, by phone, and via email, supporting online customers through Shopify and social media.
• Process customer transactions at the till and pick and fulfil online orders with accuracy and care.
• Maintain accurate stock levels across the shop floor and online store, restocking shelves and bakery fridges.
• Assist in packing baked goods for retail and wholesale orders, following packaging guidelines.
• Keep the shop front, counters, and packing areas clean, organised, and welcoming.
• Collaborate with the team to manage daily priorities, coordinate wholesale and online orders, and ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail, especially when picking and packing orders.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with Shopify software is preferred.
• Previous experience in retail, customer service, or order fulfilment is an asset.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a small, friendly team.
