Front End Cashier

About the role

Join Lawtons, part of Sobeys Inc., as a Front End Cashier in Halifax. You will provide friendly, professional service to customers while handling transactions accurately and efficiently. This role contributes to a positive store environment and supports the company’s commitment to community and excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and process transactions to meet customer needs.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer in line with company policies.
• Operate the Customer Service Desk, handling lottery sales, refunds, bottle returns and inquiries.
• Maintain Front End Department merchandise and presentation.
• Participate in training junior staff members.
• Support additional departments and perform other duties as required.

Required profile

• Basic level of numeracy skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
