Retail Home Designer

About the role

Crate and Barrel is seeking a passionate Designer to help customers visualize and realize their home design ideas. You will use the latest design trends and digital tools to guide shoppers through in‑store, in‑home, and virtual consultations, turning inspiration into actionable design solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales and customer engagement by delivering personalized design experiences across store, home, and virtual channels.
• Create moodboards, 2D and 3D floor plans, product lists, and presentations using preferred design software.
• Lead design consultations in person, via phone, email, or video conference and ensure timely project delivery.
• Maintain brand‑consistent product presentation and stay informed on product details, competition, and industry trends.
• Support store training on design services and cultivate lasting client relationships through networking and clienteling.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of interior design styles, spatial planning, fabric selection, and lighting.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen actively and translate customer needs into design solutions.
• Positive attitude, team‑oriented mindset, and ability to meet individual sales, KPI, and service goals.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 2D design tools
• Proficiency with 3D design tools
• Experience using Google Suite
• Comfort with iPad for floor planning and presentations
• Ability to create detailed floor plans and visualizations
