Restaurant Server – Food & Beverage Service

About the role

We are looking for an experienced server to join our team at Pasta e Vino in Sudbury. The role involves delivering high‑quality food and beverage service in a busy restaurant environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, present menus, describe daily specials and wine selections, and take food and drink orders.
• Relay orders to kitchen and bar staff and serve food and beverages promptly.
• Handle payments by cash, credit/debit cards, travellers’ cheques or room billing, and balance cash drawers at the end of shifts.
• Address customer complaints or concerns and provide recommendations to enhance satisfaction.
• Maintain clean and orderly tables, trays and chairs, and supervise bussing staff.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
• Legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages and a valid Smart Serve certification.
• 2–3 years of experience in a restaurant serving role.
• Own reliable transportation and ability to lift up to 9 kg.
• Availability for evening, on‑call and weekend shifts.

Required skills

• Knowledge of menu items, daily specials and wine pairings.
• Cash handling and point‑of‑sale transaction experience.
