Restaurant Manager - Pizzeria Libretto

About the role

Pizzeria Libretto, part of the Libretto Restaurant Group (operators of Pizzeria Libretto and Enoteca Sociale), is looking for a restaurant manager in Toronto. The manager helps the restaurant meet service goals and sales standards while exceeding guest expectations. The group also offers health benefits, tuition reimbursement, three weeks of paid vacation, tip out, and trips and travel.

Key responsibilities

• Help the restaurant meet service goals and sales standards
• Address elevated customer queries confidently and politely
• Maintain good relationships with guests, vendors and suppliers
• Keep equipment clean and in working order through personal inspection and preventative maintenance
• Receive deliveries accurately and keep records in line with receiving policies
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, including checklists
• Recruit and train front-of-house staff and create weekly schedules
• Manage inventory, purchase orders and orders for liquor, beer and small ware items
• Ensure compliance with cash control procedures and complete daily shift end reports

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead a team and be a motivational team player
• Smart Serve certification required
• Knowledge of wines, spirits and alcoholic beverages
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Preferred: 3-5 years of hospitality experience

Salary range: $45,000 - $50,000 plus gratuities.
