Restaurant Manager – Operations & Staff Supervision

About the role

The Restaurant Manager will lead daily operations at Chicken Chef in Melita, ensuring profitability and high‑quality service. You will oversee budgeting, staff scheduling, customer experience, and compliance with health and safety standards while supporting flexible work hours.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze budgets and modify menu pricing to boost profits.
• Plan, organize, and supervise daily restaurant operations.
• Set staff work schedules, monitor performance, and ensure attendance.
• Monitor revenues to determine labour costs and adjust staffing accordingly.
• Maintain inventory, negotiate with suppliers, and manage food costs.
• Determine service types, implement operational procedures, and oversee catering contracts.
• Handle customer complaints, ensure health and safety compliance, and uphold service quality.
• Support flexible hours, including mornings, weekends, and overtime as required.

Required profile

• College or CEGEP diploma (1‑2 year program) in a related field.
• 1–2 years of restaurant management experience.
• Food service manager certification.
• Accurate, client‑focused, organized, and able to multitask.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with repetitive tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and experience with budgeting and inventory management.
• Commitment to Indigenous inclusion programs and cultural competency.
