Restaurant Manager

About the role

The Restaurant Manager will lead daily operations at Syl's Neighbourhood Kitchen in North Bay, ensuring profitability, high service standards and compliance with health and liquor regulations. Reporting to senior management, you will oversee budgeting, staff performance and customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and develop budgets for food, beverage, supplies and labour to maintain profit margins.
• Monitor daily revenues, adjust menu pricing and food preparation methods accordingly.
• Plan, organize and supervise day‑to‑day restaurant activities, including staff scheduling, recruitment and training.
• Conduct performance reviews, manage a team of 5‑10 employees and address customer complaints.
• Maintain inventory, negotiate with suppliers and ensure health, safety and liquor legislation compliance.
• Participate in marketing initiatives and coordinate catering or event bookings.

Required profile

• College/CEGEP education.
• 2–3 years of restaurant management experience.
• Accurate, organized and reliable with strong client focus.
• Ability to multitask, adapt quickly and work well in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
