Restaurant Host/Hostess

About the role

Playground, an internationally recognised gaming destination near Montreal, is looking for a friendly and professional Host or Hostess to enhance the dining experience for its guests. You will be the first point of contact, welcoming patrons, managing reservations and ensuring smooth seating flow.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables or bar areas.
• Provide accurate wait times, monitor waiting lists and manage reservations.
• Maintain knowledge of table numbers and their assigned locations.
• Keep the reception area clean, organized and presentable.
• Assist with clearing and setting tables when time permits.
• Collaborate with bus staff to ensure quick and efficient service.

Required profile

• Must be bilingual in French and English and at least 18 years old.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• Ability to multitask, stay calm and remain professional in a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive, collaborative team‑player attitude.
• Physical ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
