Restaurant Cashier

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and reliable restaurant cashier to operate the cash register, process payments, and provide excellent service in a fast‑paced dining environment. The role includes handling cash, cheques and card transactions while maintaining a clean checkout area.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the electronic cash register and process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments.
• Receive payment for goods or services and ensure accurate cash handling.
• Stock shelves, clean the counter area, and maintain a tidy checkout space.
• Greet customers, answer basic inquiries, and wrap or bag merchandise.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer and reconcile at the end of each shift.
• Work evenings, nights and weekends as required.
• Provide prompt and courteous service under pressure.
