Research Coordinator in Healthy Aging

About the role

The Research Coordinator will support Professor Teresa Liu‑Ambrose’s Aging, Mobility, and Cognition (AMC) Lab at the University of British Columbia. The role involves planning and executing research activities, managing data, and ensuring project milestones are met.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for the AMC Lab and respond to all inquiries.
• Coordinate randomized controlled trials and cohort studies, develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensure protocol adherence.
• Monitor and document adverse events, reporting them to study safety committees.
• Create, maintain, and secure confidential research data files; perform data cleaning, quality checks, and preparation for statistical analysis.
• Oversee day‑to‑day budget usage, process invoices, and reconcile p‑card transactions.
• Assist with grant applications, ethics submissions, and manuscript preparation.
• Coordinate project timelines, training sessions, and team communications.

Required profile

• Experience supporting academic research projects, preferably in aging, mobility, or cognition.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a principal investigator and report daily.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and compliance.
