About the role
The University of British Columbia's Department of Ophthalmology is seeking a Research Coordinator for a two‑year appointment. The role supports clinical trial activities across multiple eye‑care sites, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facilitating smooth study execution.
Key responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of clinical trials, including interim Clinical Research Ethics Board submissions.
- Oversee study project management, participant recruitment, and conduct of study visits.
- Complete case record forms, maintain study drug accountability, and manage study files in line with ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
- Collaborate with clinical departments, health‑care workers at the Eye Care Centre, outpatient laboratory services, and pharmaceutical partners.

- High motivation, enthusiasm, and initiative to meet the demands of research trials.
